Collaboration between shampoo & perfume.
What?
Special edition shampoo & conditioner scented with a line of perfume.
Why?
- Original – I haven’t seen it done before
- Everyone likes good-smelling hair – incentive to buy the product
- Good target for women – I am combining 2 everyday products
Perfume Brands :
- Dior – too strong & overpowering
- Escada – fruity – good combination with shampoos
- Lacoste – light, sweet small – well recognised brand
I am choosing Lacoste, as they have a few collections, one of which is the Pink Collection, which is light and fruity. Using a collection will be easier to collaborate and means I can create more than one product – A line/collection, rather than just using the same scent in each shampoo & conditioner.
Shampoo Brands :
- Alterna Hair Care – Bamboo scented, American, professional – so not easy for people to get their hands on
- Pureology – American, so hard to buy in the UK, more for professional use
- Head & Shoulders – too specific (anti-dandruff)
- Herbal Essences – too scented (will loose the smell of the perfume scent)
- Aussie – too much of a specific scent
- Kerastase – more professional
- Toni & Guy – support specific charities
- John Freida – limited options to match a collection of scents
- Loreal – too wide of a range
- Garnier – too wide of a range/too big
- Tresemme/Pantene – these seem to be the best option in terms of, easy to get a hold of, good quality but not too professional, well known brand name.
I am choosing Tresemme, as it seems to be slight better rated compared to Pantene. It is a well known, quality brand name that does not have too much of an overpowering scent, so will not overpower the perfume scent that is added.
